Community Bank of Santa Maria opened for business on March 1, 2001 with the goal of returning local banking to the Santa Maria Valley and surrounding areas. We built our institution from the ground up with local board members, senior management, and employees that understood the unique needs of our residents and businesses. Throughout our nine year history, we have held true to our business plan. A plan built on the philosophy of “Commerce and Banking”.

Community Bank of Santa Maria is participating in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2010, all non-interest bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.
