The Board of Directors are all local residents with deep roots in this community. They are leaders, individuals with integrity, character and a diversity of backgrounds. Local interest, understanding and concern for the community was essential. Five of the ten directors are graduates of the Santa Maria school system, and all have built their careers, businesses and families right here in the Santa Maria Valley. Jim and Bill both feel very fortunate to have a Board of Directors comprised of such active and distinguished Santa Marians.

Community Bank of Santa Maria is participating in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2010, all non-interest bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.
